Extra activities

At Niebieska Przystań Preschool in Wilanów, a child’s development is not limited to a few hours of activities a week. Every day children take part in a variety of activities that support their language, social, emotional, physical and creative development. Most activities are included in the tuition fee and are a natural part of everyday preschool life.

Our activities support the development of children aged 2.5 to 6 through learning, play and discovering the world every day.

Included in the tuition fee

English

Daily contact with English lets children learn naturally – through play, songs, games, movement and everyday situations. This way they build vocabulary, communication skills and confidence in using English.

Art activities

In art sessions, our little artists try out a range of creative techniques – they paint, draw, sculpt, design and create work from natural and recycled materials. Through hands-on activity they develop creativity, fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination, and learn to express their own ideas and emotions.

Sports activities

In sports sessions children take part in team games, active play, obstacle courses and exercises that develop coordination, balance and physical fitness. Being active through play builds self-confidence, teaches cooperation and following rules, and brings joy in movement.

Social skills training (TUS)

Social skills training (TUS) is open to all children. Through shared games, role play, conversations and group work, children learn cooperation, communication, resolving conflicts and recognising and expressing emotions. The sessions build self-confidence, empathy and social skills that help children form good relationships with their peers and find their way in everyday situations.

Sensory art

Sensory art sessions let preschoolers explore the world with all their senses. They play with a variety of materials, colours, textures and scents, creating their own work and experimenting freely. These activities develop creativity, fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, concentration and sensory integration, supporting balanced development.

Music and movement – rhythm

Dance and rhythm sessions develop motor skills, coordination and a sense of rhythm. In dance games together, children learn simple routines, practise the dynamics of movement and play actively to music, building fitness, concentration and self-confidence.

Music and singing

In music sessions children sing, get to know instruments, play with rhythm, dance and take an active part in music-and-movement games. Music supports the development of hearing, a sense of rhythm, memory, concentration and coordination, while singing and making music together builds self-confidence, cooperation and the joy of creating.

Cooking

In cooking sessions preschoolers prepare simple, healthy dishes together, try new flavours and learn how to use basic kitchen tools safely. Cooking together develops independence, fine motor skills, cooperation and responsibility, and builds healthy eating habits and good mealtime manners.

Sensory activities

In sensory sessions children explore the world through touch, movement, sounds, scents and different textures. They experiment with materials, tackle sensory obstacle courses and take part in games that develop balance, coordination and body awareness. These activities support sensory integration, concentration, independence and balanced development.

Speech and rhythm (logorhythmics)

Logorhythmics combines speech exercises with music, rhythm, movement and play. In these sessions preschoolers sing, clap rhythms, practise breathing and take part in movement and word games that help develop clear pronunciation. The activities support speech development, phonemic hearing, coordination, concentration and communication skills.

Educational projects

Educational projects encourage children to ask questions, look for answers and discover the world through action. Preschoolers explore topics related to nature, science, culture, art and everyday life – they observe, experiment, create and draw their own conclusions. This way of learning develops curiosity, creativity, independence, cooperation and problem-solving. Planning activities, sharing tasks and looking for solutions together teach responsibility, independent thinking and effective teamwork.

Paid extra activities

Taking part in paid extra activities is optional and requires parents’ consent.

Yoga with elements of social skills training (TUS) and mindfulness

In children’s yoga sessions, preschoolers combine movement, breathing techniques, active games and age-appropriate mindfulness. The activities support balance, coordination, concentration and body awareness, while elements of social skills training (TUS) develop cooperation, recognising emotions, empathy and coping with everyday situations.

LEGO® robotics

In LEGO® robotics sessions preschoolers build their own constructions, learn the basics of programming and solve tasks that develop logical thinking and cooperation. Learning through play builds creativity, spatial imagination, problem-solving and STEM skills, preparing children to use new technologies thoughtfully.

Ceramics

In ceramics sessions children discover the properties of clay and learn to shape, model and decorate their own pieces. Working with a natural material develops fine motor skills, creativity, patience and spatial imagination, and making their own objects brings satisfaction and encourages creative experimenting.

Individual singing lessons with a music teacher

In singing lessons children learn songs, practise correct breathing, diction and voice projection, and develop musical hearing and a sense of rhythm. Singing builds memory, concentration, self-confidence and the ability to perform in front of a group. Lessons are led by an experienced music teacher who adapts the repertoire and approach to the children’s age.

Individual speech therapy

Speech therapy sessions support speech development, clear pronunciation, communication and understanding of language. Each child works one-to-one with an experienced speech therapist, who chooses exercises to suit the child’s needs and stage of development. Regular sessions help develop the speech organs, correct articulation and confidence in communication.

Individual piano lessons with a music teacher

Piano lessons introduce children to the world of music through play, rhythm and their first melodies. Children learn the basics of playing an instrument and develop musical hearing, a sense of rhythm, concentration and hand–eye coordination. Lessons are led by an experienced music teacher who adapts the way of learning to each child’s age and abilities.

Martial arts

Martial arts sessions are a great way to develop fitness, coordination and concentration. Children learn basic moves through play, discovering the rules of fair play, discipline and respect for others. Everything happens in a safe, age-appropriate way.
